Closest thing I've had to a NY Style slice in Jersey City. If you're able to have a fresh piping hit slice please go for it. I will say that some of the ready made pies had me skeptical at first due to how long they were sitting in the display windows but when I saw the fresh slices I had to have it. Inside is rather standard but they have a TV! Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. And they had a slice that came with fresh basil and it was great. Highly recommended! Get the Meat Lovers if you can. Also, everyone behind the counter seemed really nice and eating at this place made my day.

Honestly, I would give them a 5, but they were no longer serving gluten free pizzas. Carmine's is situated in a quaint neighborhood of row houses. It is a small place with a nice ambiance, where the young lady taking orders was both welcoming and friendly. My husband and sons shared a NY style pepperoni pizza and said it was delicious. My oldest also had a single slice of Buffalo chicken slice. He said it was good. I had a grilled chicken salad with the creamy Italian dressing. It was fresh and refreshing. The olives still had pits in them. That may be something that is a norm, I'm uncertain because my family does not often eat olives. Our food was brought out promptly and at an appropriate temperature for the items chosen. Again, if they had the gluten free crusts that the menu showed, I would totally give them a 5.

We had a large order for a corporate event. Spoke several times on the phone, including to get an estimate on price, which was appreciated versus competitor who referred me to their on-line menu. Order was perfect and delivery on-time. In particular want to highlight Danielle's patience and efforts. Would definitely use Carmine's for a large event again.

Wow!!! The ziti with meatballs arrived pipping hot and I mean hot!! It was super yummy. I wish the pasta was cooked just a touch less and I wish Parmesan cheese was included on the dish or on the side. The garlic bread is delicious. Its an entire loaf of French bread, toasted and full of garlic spread. So fresh and yummy! The meatball parm sub is a sub above. Sooooo cheesy and yummy! The meatballs are delicious and flavorful. The bread is fresh, crusty and not soggy. Parm sub done right!! We ordered twice this week and plan to keep ordering. A+

We're Brooklyn transplants trying to find pizza that comes close to our NY pallet - and it's been hard to find! But Carmine's is pretty close to the dough texture and quality we get from good old NYC water supply! This is also a great quaint spot on a quiet block and the staff is fast, courteous and efficient. Love the neighborhood vibes here too. Will def try to order a whole pie for delivery in the future. I would give it that last star if the crust was thicker and bubblier/browner like NYC slices are.

I ordered this at the end of the night through the too good to go app. It was pretty standard cheese pizza. But the barbecue and ranch chicken pizza was a great combination of sweet and savory!

So far we have ordered penne vodka, cheese and Margarita pizza.. I love them all!!!! The delivery person was very polite. The person over the phone was very sweet and patient. I would say overall I recommend and food is delicious!!!

I'd buy a scented candle that smells like their sauce. We went here because some website recommended their pizza. It was perfect - traditional, crisp, flavorful. The unsung hero of the day was the meatball. Luscious texture with a sauce that I literally pulled over to drink. I highly recommend it. We'll be back.

COVID 19 UPDATED: We discovered this pizza place in downtown jersey city. Ordered at home and it arrived crisp and warm. We ordered two large pizzas and it was more than enough for 4 people. Saved 1/2 a pizza for the next morning. Probably compensates for the price. It costed $50 (including delivery) for the two pizzas Margherita: A traditional Margherita pizza with just basil, cheese and olive oil. The pizza is crisp. Even though it arrived at home, it didn't get soggy. The sauce is a little tangy. The cheese and abundant basil cut the flavour of the sauce to make it a nice pizza. Only problem is that it has a lot of olive oil. It tastes well if eaten right away but after a while makes the pizza soggy Veggie pizza: Traditional sauce topped with olives, red peppers and onions. Despite the abundant toppings you can taste the crust and flavor of the sauce. This doesn't get as soggy as the Margherita. I love how the slices are not huge. Makes it easy for adults and kids to eat the pizza.
